England Golf Teams Up with iPRO as Preferred Hydration Drinks Partner

Golf became one of the first sports to resume under strict social distancing conditions, enabling athletes of the sport, golf enthusiasts and newcomers to the game, to safely take to England’s fairways and greens.

Following the government announcement on 13th May that allowed golf courses to reopen, healthy Hydration Drinks brand iPRO and England Golf, the national governing body for the amateur game in England, have agreed terms which will see iPRO become the Preferred Hydration Drinks Partner of England Golf. This will enable players to taste the low sugar, delicious drinks and gain an advantage from the superior hydration benefits that iPRO Hydrate boasts during competitions taking place across the country.

Sweetened with Stevia and containing no artificial colours, flavours or added calories, iPRO’s drinks have proved very popular amongst a wide range of sporting professionals and amateurs globally. iPRO Hydrate is available in four fantastic flavours; Berry Mix, Orange and Pineapple, Citrus Blend and Mango Flavour, allowing an excellent assortment for player choice.

The partnership will place a strong focus on the importance of sustainability, and as such both iPRO and England Golf intend to develop a strategy to recycle all drinks packaging during the term. Recycling will be highlighted as a fundamental part of the partnership, as a commitment is made to emphasize its value to both players and consumers.

iPRO has worked hard to intensify its sustainability commitment to ensure that all product packaging is fully recyclable within the UK's current recycling infrastructure. iPRO recognise how sustainable packaging plays an integral role in communicating its brand values to customers and to mitigate its impact on the environment.

As iPRO continues to develop sustainable product packaging, working alongside waste management and recycling organisations nationally, the main focus is to ensure that each bottle has the optimum chance of being recycled back into plastic bottles providing closed loop bottle-to-bottle recycling.

As the partnership launches this month, iPRO Hydrate will be on hand to keep players hydrated to achieve optimal performance on the golf course during England Golf competitions. Notable occasions include July’s English Men’s & Women’s Amateur Championships at Woodhall Spa Golf Club and, next month, the English Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club and the English Men’s Stroke Play (Brabazon Trophy) at Sherwood Forest Golf Club, both of which tee off on 18th August.

Excited about working together with iPRO, England Golf’s Championship Director, James Crampton, said: “We’re delighted to team up with iPRO for key events in our 2020 championship calendar.

“It was very important to us that we found a drinks partner who not only provided a healthy product, but who also shared our strong commitment to recycling and sustainability. We look forward to working with iPRO this season and to developing the relationship.”

We are very excited to partner up with England Golf as the official and preferred hydration drink of the 2020 championship golf calendar,” says Sophie Christy, Commercial Director of iPRO Hydrate.

“This collaboration provides us with an authentic and meaningful platform to connect with the sport, golf clubs, our retailers and golf fans across the UK. Over the coming months we will alongside England Golf, work together to educate players on the importance of hydration and the role they play in the successful delivery of our overarching recycling and sustainability strategy. We wish all players competing in the forthcoming 2020 championship calendar the very best of luck.”
