Q&A with iPRO Athlete Georgia Anderson

Name? Georgia Anderson
Where were you born? Manchester, England
What is your Basketball playing history?
I grew up playing basketball for the Manchester Mystics from the age of 8 to 18. I also played internationally for England and at all junior age groups. c I went on to play for Great Britain senior women at 16, making me the youngest female representative for the senior national team. I attended Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma for four years and was awarded Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and won 2 regular season championships whilst there. After graduating, I played professionally for Cluj Napoca in Romania before returning to the UK to play for the Leicester Riders. In 2016, I came back to Manchester to play for the Mystics and won the inaugural WBBL cup. In 2018, I competed in the Commonwealth Games for Team England and won a Silver Medal. I also competed at Eurobasket 2019 with Great Britain and finished 4th, which was our highest ever finish and secured our place in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in 2020.

What position do you play? Point Guard
What is your greatest sporting achievement? Winning a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018.
