South Downs Leisure Partner with iPRO and Westways Vending to Provide the Community with Healthier Choices in Worthing Centres

In a bid to educate and encourage Worthing to make healthy choices, South Downs Leisure have brought in healthy hydration company iPRO as an Official Partner.

During lockdown, South Downs Leisure, iPRO and Westways Vending have been working together to install new iPRO vending machines into Worthing Leisure Centre ahead of the reopening on Saturday 25th July. iPRO vending machines will also be in place at Splashpoint Leisure Centre ahead of the opening on the 1st August, with plans to cover all South Downs Leisure sites in the future.

As part of a Sugar Swap campaign, the new machines will vend iPRO’s entire range which includes iPRO Hydrate; a low sugar healthy hydration drink which is naturally sweetened with Stevia and contains no artificial colours or flavours. iPRO Hydrate will be available in four refreshing flavours; Berry Mix, Orange & Pineapple, Citrus Blend and Mango. Additionally, iPRO Hydrate - Student Edition, the school compliant range with no added sugar will be available in two flavours; Berry Mix and Mango. iPRO Water will also be available to complete the range of hydration available for centre visitors.

The partnership includes gym challenges for members with iPRO prizes and when the government restrictions ease, the iPRO team will be visiting South Downs Leisure sites to provide members with opportunities to sample the healthy drinks range.

Not only are iPRO products a natural choice in healthy hydration, their packaging is also environmentally responsible. All packaging is fully recyclable using recycled materials with ambitions to reach 75% by 2021.

On the partnership iPRO’s Commercial Director, Sophie Christy, commented:

“We are delighted to work with South Downs Leisure to continue our mission to promote health and wellbeing across communities. At a time when looking after your health is of upmost importance, this is the perfect time for us to launch the sugar swap campaign with South Downs Leisure.”

Duncan Anderson, CEO of South Downs Leisure, adds:

"We are really excited to be working with iPRO; ours and their ethos’ are harmonious in that we want our members to be healthier through exercise and iPRO want to help those exercising to hydrate more healthily. We look forward to a long partnership and hope our members enjoy the benefits of swapping out the sugar in their pre, intra and post workout drinks."

Westways Vending will be providing a fully managed service, which means that the machines will be stocked and maintained with the iPRO range at its core.

Westways Vending Managing Director, Ian Baker, says:

“We are delighted to be part of this innovative project. It’s great to be able to help people make a difference to their own health, particularly now when improving diet and exercise are so important.”
