NHS Tayside Staff Wellness Rooms Well Hydrated with iPRO Thanks to CJ Lang & Sons Ltd and Scottish Rugby

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, NHS Tayside opened Rest, Relax and Recharge rooms across Tayside to support staff wellbeing. These areas are designed as dedicated spaces away from busy environments, encouraging staff to unwind, read a book and just relax.

Mental health support is more vital than ever as staff work long, hard hours to help fight the virus and these calm spaces are for everyone to use, whether you are a medical, clerical or support services member of staff.

The chill-out spaces have been created in 14 hospitals and community care centres in a bid to ensure all staff have a space of calm away from their working day.

In a collaborative donation between CJ Lang & Son Ltd and Scottish Rugby, thousands of bottles of healthy hydration drink, iPRO Hydrate, is being donated to NHS Tayside for the chill-out spaces. The drinks will be available for staff free of charge to ensure that they stay hydrated throughout the day. The drinks will not only rehydrate staff, but also keep staff healthy as they contain 100% of the recommended daily Vitamin C, plus added Vitamins B5, B6, B7 and B12.

On the donation, Jenny Alexander, Employee Director for NHS Tayside, said: “I would like to thank everyone at Scottish Rugby, CJ Lang & Son Ltd and iPRO for thinking of our staff as we all respond to COVID-19. This thoughtfulness and generosity reminds all our staff how highly they are thought of across the country.

“We plan to distribute the iPRO drinks through our rest, relax and recharge rooms. These areas are designed as dedicated spaces away from busy environments encouraging staff to unwind, read a book and just relax. I’m certain that the iPRO drinks will go down a treat with our staff.”

Colin Chapman, CJ Lang & Son Ltd Distribution Director adds “CJ Lang and Son Limited continues to support this initiative with the Scottish Rugby and iPRO by delivering stocks into NHS Tayside. We’re delighted to be bringing this product direct to some of the key NHS frontline staff who have done a fantastic job during this ongoing global pandemic.”
