iPRO Announce Partnership with 1TeamActive to Support Police Wellbeing Across England

iPRO are proud to announce their partnership with 1TeamActive to help support police wellbeing across England.

TeamPolice have just launched their pilot sport and activity programme (1TeamActive) in partnership with Sport England after securing £348k in funding from The National Lottery. The programme aims to boost the health and wellbeing of police forces across England who are an invaluable part of our community. Policing is one of the most mentally and physically demanding occupations to have, and the nature of their work means they’ll face stressful situations that most of us will never have to experience.

TeamPolice initially developed 1TeamActive to support those who would benefit most from becoming more active. 1TeamActive has highlighted two groups for the programme to focus on: those who wouldn’t usually be involved in sport and exercise and those who feel that their mental health has suffered from the stress of policing. The 1TeamActive programme begins by inviting police staff and their families to an informal introduction day where they’ll have different activities to try out together. Following the event day will be an 11-week programme with two instructor-led classes a week. These classes aim to achieve at least 150 minutes of weekly activity in a fun and supportive way.
